What you'll do

As a Software Engineer at Clear Street, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance data pipelines that process financial market data — your work will directly impact how our systems operate and how our clients interact with the markets. You will collaborate with the FACT team to build data products that serve as the authoritative source of reference data within the firm.

You will take on the challenge of optimizing data pipelines for low latency and high throughput — this involves not only coding but also understanding the underlying data architecture and making informed decisions about data flow and storage. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall quality of the codebase, ensuring that best practices are followed throughout the development process.

You will also engage in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues that arise in production — your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions that enhance system performance.
