Cobot is hiring a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to design data systems for real-time insights in robotics. You'll work with technologies like Kafka, Python, and AWS. This role requires experience in building data pipelines and analytics platforms.

Who you are

You have a strong background in data engineering with a focus on building robust data pipelines that handle high-volume telemetry and 3D sensor data. Your experience includes working with streaming systems and analytics platforms, ensuring low-latency insights for mission-critical operations. You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering with robotics, AI, and product teams to architect scalable solutions. You are comfortable with the complexities of data ingestion and transformation, and you understand the importance of delivering trustworthy insights quickly.

You possess expertise in technologies such as Kafka and AWS, and you are proficient in programming languages like Python. Your ability to design and implement data systems that support real-time analytics is complemented by your knowledge of tools like Elasticsearch and Airflow. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for optimizing data workflows to enhance operational efficiency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own the full ingestion path from edge devices to analytics-ready data marts, ensuring that our customers can access real-time insights into robotic fleet operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to develop and scale the backbone of our AI insights layer, Vista, and our 3D mapping system, ScoutMap. Your responsibilities will include designing data architectures that support high availability and low latency, as well as implementing best practices for data quality and governance.

You will also be involved in troubleshooting and optimizing existing data pipelines, ensuring they meet the evolving needs of our products and customers. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, allowing you to propose innovative solutions that enhance our data capabilities. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
