Overview
Axonius is seeking a Senior Data Infra Engineer to design and build data and ML pipelines, as well as cloud infrastructure. You'll work with AWS and programming languages like Python, Scala, and Java. This role requires 5+ years of experience in big data environments.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and maintaining big data pipelines in on-premises or hybrid cloud SaaS environments — you've tackled complex data challenges and understand the intricacies of data integration. Your proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, Java, or Go, combined with your expertise in both SQL and NoSQL databases, allows you to create robust data solutions that meet business needs.
You are well-versed in software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, design documentation, and CI/CD — you understand the importance of maintaining high-quality code and efficient workflows. Your experience with AWS enables you to build and optimize cloud data lakes, ensuring that data is managed securely and efficiently to support enterprise-scale operations.
You thrive in collaborative environments, leading end-to-end data projects from initial infrastructure design through to production monitoring and optimization — your leadership skills help guide teams to success while solving integration challenges with optimal ETL/ELT patterns and query techniques. You are passionate about empowering business stakeholders with comprehensive visibility and automation of key processes, driving strategic impact across the organization.
Desirable
Experience with machine learning pipelines and data tools is a plus, as is familiarity with cloud architecture best practices. What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and building all aspects of the platform's data infrastructure, including ML pipelines and supporting infrastructure — your work will directly empower business stakeholders to gain comprehensive visibility and automate key processes. You will optimize an AWS-based Data Lake, applying cloud architecture best practices for partitioning, metadata management, and security to support enterprise-scale operations.
You will lead project delivery, managing end-to-end data projects from initial design through to production monitoring and optimization — your ability to solve integration challenges will be crucial as you implement optimal ETL/ELT patterns and query techniques to address complex data integration problems sourced from both structured and unstructured data.
Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data solutions align with business objectives — your insights will help shape the direction of data initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
