Who you are
You have a strong background in payroll management, with experience in handling multi-country payroll operations. You thrive in high-growth environments and are comfortable navigating ambiguity. Your attention to detail ensures that payroll is processed accurately and on time, and you have a proven ability to design scalable processes that support a distributed workforce. You are a collaborative partner, working closely with Finance, People, and Legal teams to build a robust global payroll function. You understand the complexities of payroll compliance across different jurisdictions and are committed to maintaining high standards in your work.
Desirable
Experience with payroll software and systems is a plus, as is familiarity with international payroll regulations. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and are eager to implement best practices in payroll operations. Your ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders will help you succeed in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the end-to-end payroll process for Cohere, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time. You will manage payroll operations across North America, Europe, and APAC, collaborating with regional external providers to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. You will be responsible for developing and implementing payroll policies and procedures that support the company's growth and operational needs. As a hands-on leader, you will also mentor and guide your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence in payroll management.
You will work closely with the Finance team to prepare payroll budgets and forecasts, ensuring that payroll expenses align with company goals. Additionally, you will partner with the People team to address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits, providing exceptional service and support. Your role will also involve analyzing payroll data to identify trends and insights that can inform strategic decisions.
