OpenAI is seeking a Global Payroll Operations Lead to oversee and enhance payroll processing across multiple regions. You'll ensure compliance and operational excellence while leading a world-class payroll operations team in San Francisco.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in payroll operations, ideally with a focus on global payroll processing. You understand the complexities of payroll compliance across various regions and have a proven track record of delivering accurate and timely payroll results. Your leadership skills enable you to build and develop high-performing teams, ensuring accountability and operational excellence.
You are proactive in identifying and resolving payroll issues, applying strong judgment and root-cause analysis to mitigate risks. Your ability to collaborate with internal teams and outsourced partners is essential for success in this role. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining the integrity of employee pay data across multiple systems.
What you'll do
As the Global Payroll Operations Lead at OpenAI, you will own the end-to-end execution of payroll processing, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. You will lead the payroll operations organization, setting high standards for performance and accountability. Your role will involve acting as the operational authority for payroll, particularly during mergers and acquisitions, where you will oversee transition payrolls and compliance.
You will continuously improve the payroll ecosystem, identifying opportunities for enhancement and implementing best practices. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of operational excellence within the payroll team, ensuring that all payroll processes are efficient and effective. You will also be responsible for training and developing team members, promoting a collaborative and high-performance environment.
