What you'll do

In this role, you will manage the blockchain nodes that connect Coinbase to the 55 different blockchains supported across various platforms, including CB Wallet, Retail, Insto, and Prime. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of these nodes, which are critical to the functioning of Coinbase's services.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to design and implement solutions that enhance the blockchain platform's capabilities — your work will directly impact the user experience and the overall efficiency of the platform. You will also engage in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to blockchain connectivity and performance.

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers and contribute to the team's technical direction — your expertise will help shape best practices and improve the overall quality of the codebase. You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers.

You will stay updated on the latest developments in blockchain technology and assess their potential impact on Coinbase's operations — your insights will help guide strategic decisions regarding technology adoption and integration.
