You have 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in full stack roles where you've designed and implemented scalable applications. Your expertise in Python and JavaScript frameworks allows you to create seamless user experiences while ensuring robust backend functionality.

You are proficient in using Flask for backend services and have a solid understanding of frontend technologies like React and Vue.js. Your experience with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, enables you to deploy and manage applications effectively in a cloud environment.

You have a strong grasp of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases like CloudSQL/MySQL and Redis, which you leverage to optimize data storage and retrieval. Your familiarity with Elasticsearch enhances your ability to implement powerful search functionalities within applications.

You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with product and design teams to deliver high-quality features that drive customer retention and revenue growth. Your problem-solving skills and attention to detail ensure that you can tackle complex challenges effectively.

Experience with event-driven messaging systems and REST APIs is a plus, as it aligns with the responsibilities of the Storefront Team at Recharge. Familiarity with performance optimization techniques for high-traffic applications will also be beneficial.

What you'll do

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Recharge, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining storefront widgets and backend services that integrate seamlessly into merchant checkout experiences. You will handle over 2.5 million sessions per day, ensuring high performance and stability of the components you build.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement features that enhance customer retention, such as subscriptions, bundles, and loyalty benefits. Your role will involve writing clean, maintainable code and participating in code reviews to uphold the quality of the codebase.

You will also be tasked with optimizing the performance of the applications you develop, utilizing your knowledge of cloud services and database management to ensure that the systems can scale effectively as user demand grows.

In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of learning and improvement within the team. Your contributions will directly impact the success of Recharge's mission to build the future of commerce around customer retention.
