Who you are

You have proven experience in software development and systems engineering, with a strong understanding of relational database engines, preferably PostgreSQL. You thrive on responsibility and take pride in building highly scalable and reliable systems that enable others. Your thorough AWS knowledge spans core services such as RDS, S3, Lambda, and SNS/SQS, and you are well-versed in Infrastructure-as-Code best practices using Terraform and Kubernetes.

You are a collaborative engineer who enjoys working closely with teams across domains, sharing knowledge freely, and supporting your peers. Your expertise in developing and maintaining services written in TypeScript and Go allows you to contribute effectively to the content storage infrastructure domain. You are proactive in identifying operational risks, anticipating bottlenecks or failure points before they cause problems.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for innovating and maintaining Contentful’s underlying storage infrastructure and adjacent services. You will design and develop content storage infrastructure that is foundational to the billions of requests served daily. Collaborating closely with teams in the content storage and delivery domains, you will enhance scalability and performance features that directly impact customer experience.

You will work on the very foundation of Contentful that our teams build on top of, ensuring that the infrastructure remains robust and efficient. Your contributions will help shape the future of our services, allowing for seamless integration and improved user experiences. You will also stay ahead of operational risks, using your expertise to foresee and mitigate potential issues before they arise.
