Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in fullstack development, particularly with a strong focus on iOS client development and backend systems. Your hands-on approach allows you to lead by example, guiding your team through complex technical challenges while fostering a collaborative environment. You understand the importance of delivering polished and reliable user experiences, and you are committed to maintaining high standards of quality in your work.
As a Staff Engineer, you bring clarity to complex problems and have a proven track record of making impactful technical decisions. You thrive in a startup environment where agility and innovation are key, and you are passionate about helping others grow in their roles. Your leadership style encourages open communication and collaboration, ensuring that all team members feel valued and empowered to contribute.
You possess a deep understanding of both client and server-side technologies, allowing you to bridge the gap between engineering, product, and design. Your ability to align these teams is crucial for the success of product initiatives, and you are adept at managing the technical direction of projects from inception to launch.
Desirable
Experience with agile methodologies and a strong understanding of financial technology will set you apart. Familiarity with modern development tools and practices, such as CI/CD pipelines, will enhance your ability to lead effectively.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the technical direction and execution of major product initiatives, guiding your team through the entire development lifecycle. You will be responsible for ensuring system correctness, reliability, and long-term maintainability, which are critical for the success of our financial platform. Your leadership will help unblock your team and drive projects forward, ensuring that deadlines are met without compromising quality.
You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to translate user needs into actionable technical requirements. Your insights will help shape the product roadmap, and you will play a key role in prioritizing features based on user feedback and business goals. As you lead your team, you will also mentor junior engineers, helping them develop their skills and advance their careers.
Your hands-on involvement in both client and server development will allow you to contribute directly to the codebase while also overseeing the work of your team. You will implement best practices for code quality and performance, ensuring that our platform remains robust and scalable as we grow.
