Who you are
You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable production systems. You’ve owned services from design through deployment and have a wealth of experience debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your deep expertise in Java and Spring allows you to ship high-throughput APIs that handle millions of requests, and you have strong opinions on service architecture, dependency injection, and testing strategies. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You are driven by a passion for innovation and are eager to contribute to a company that is disrupting the e-commerce industry.
Desirable
Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture is a plus. Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
What you'll do
As a Senior Backend Engineer at Coupang, you will play a crucial role in the Global Inventory and Promise Systems organization. You will be responsible for optimizing fulfillment processes based on customer promises regarding inventory and delivery dates. Your work will directly impact the speed and reliability of our service, ensuring that we meet our customers' expectations every day. You will design and implement backend systems that are robust, scalable, and efficient, collaborating with product managers and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions that enhance the customer experience.
