You have a proven track record of defining and executing long-term visions and roadmaps for complex systems, ensuring they align with business goals. You understand the intricacies of managing budgets and resource allocations effectively, ensuring that your team has the tools and support needed to succeed.

Your expertise extends to overseeing the design and implementation of core network orchestration platforms, particularly for large-scale AI model training and deployment. You are well-versed in ensuring the reliability, security, and compliance of AI infrastructure, meeting strict standards for data governance and model integrity. You have experience establishing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive performance and accountability within your team.

Desirable

You have experience with distributed training and hyperparameter tuning, and you are familiar with containerization and serverless functions. Your background includes working with cloud infrastructure and understanding the nuances of AI lifecycle management. You are comfortable navigating complex technical discussions and can act as a key liaison between various stakeholders, including core engineering teams and executive leadership.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and execute the long-term vision for Coupang's AI infrastructure, ensuring it meets the demands of the organization’s cutting-edge initiatives. You will lead a team responsible for building and operating the infrastructure orchestration systems that power AI projects from experimentation to deployment. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of core platforms, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and cost-efficient.

You will manage the budget and resource allocation for AI infrastructure deliverables, ensuring that your team is equipped to meet the demands of the business. You will establish and monitor SLOs and KPIs to measure the success of the AI platform, focusing on time-to-market, resource utilization, and reliability. Your role will also involve acting as a key liaison between AI infrastructure and other service owners, ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
