Backend Engineer • Senior

Who you are

You have over 10 years of experience in backend or distributed systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a tech lead role where you've successfully driven complex cross-team projects. Your expertise includes building SSP or Ad Exchange systems from the architecture phase to production scale, including integration with OpenRTB and major DSPs. You possess strong leadership skills in project planning, execution, code and design reviews, and mentoring senior engineers to foster high performance.

You have a deep understanding of low-latency and high-throughput systems, with expertise in performance profiling and cost/performance trade-offs. Your experience includes operating streaming and data systems, ensuring they meet the demands of modern applications. Proficiency in at least one backend programming language, such as Go, is essential, along with a solid grasp of cloud-native architectures.

Your knowledge extends to data infrastructure and storage systems, allowing you to design solutions that meet both business objectives and regulatory requirements. You excel in verbal and written communication, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience in video, CTV, or OTT environments is a plus, as is familiarity with advertising technologies and trends.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the architecture and roadmap design for advertising infrastructure, focusing on SSP and Ad Exchange systems. You will drive the development of scalable and low-latency auction systems, integrating OpenRTB to enhance performance. As a hands-on architect, you will take technical responsibility for backend services that support streaming service advertising business.

You will mentor and grow your engineering team, ensuring they achieve high performance through best practices in code quality, system performance, and operational stability. Collaborating closely with product, business, and advertising operations teams, you will align technical solutions with business goals and regulatory requirements.
