Overview

Coupang is seeking a Legal Counsel for their Fair Trade Legal team to provide legal advice on fair trade issues and respond to investigations by the Fair Trade Commission. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate legal or compliance team.

Who you are

You are a qualified attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate legal team or law firm, particularly in areas related to fair trade law, subcontracting law, and large-scale distribution law. You possess a creative mindset and are not afraid to propose innovative solutions to new business challenges. Your ability to quickly understand various business needs and respond flexibly is essential in this role. You are fluent in business English, which will aid in your communication with international stakeholders.

Desirable

Experience in advising on fair trade law and responding to investigations by the Fair Trade Commission is highly desirable. You have a strong understanding of compliance issues and can navigate complex legal landscapes effectively. Your background in handling complaints submitted to the Fair Trade Mediation Agency will be an asset.

What you'll do

In this role, you will provide legal advice and support on fair trade-related issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You will respond to investigations conducted by the Fair Trade Commission and manage administrative litigation related to non-compliance. Your responsibilities will also include preparing materials for fact-finding investigations by the Fair Trade Commission and addressing complaints submitted to the Fair Trade Mediation Agency. You will collaborate closely with various business units to understand their needs and provide timely legal guidance.
