Who you are
You have a strong background in field service engineering, particularly with autonomous systems or robotics — your hands-on experience allows you to troubleshoot and maintain complex systems effectively. You enjoy working in dynamic environments and are comfortable with frequent travel to customer sites, where you can make a tangible impact on operations.
Your technical skills include proficiency in embedded systems and robotics — you understand the intricacies of hardware interaction and can perform software updates as needed. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with engineering and operations teams to ensure that deployed robotic systems run smoothly.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and can think on your feet — when faced with challenges in the field, you remain calm and resourceful, quickly identifying solutions to keep systems operational. Your communication skills enable you to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable

What you'll do
As a Field Service Engineer at Cyngn, you will play a crucial role in the deployment and maintenance of our autonomous mobile robots. Your responsibilities will include traveling to customer sites to support and troubleshoot robotic systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. You will perform hands-on maintenance and repairs, working directly with hardware components and software systems.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to implement software updates and enhancements, ensuring that our systems are always up-to-date and performing at their best. Your role will also involve gathering feedback from customers to inform future product improvements and enhancements.
In addition to technical tasks, you will be responsible for training customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of our robotic systems, ensuring they are equipped to handle day-to-day operations. You will document service activities and maintain accurate records of system performance and maintenance history.
