Who you are
You have a strong background in machine learning and natural language processing, with over 6 years of experience developing search relevance systems. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to design and implement automated ML and NLP pipelines effectively. You are comfortable collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams to drive technology-first initiatives that align with business strategies. You have a solid understanding of search ranking improvements and can contribute to building robust evaluation frameworks for search quality.
Desirable
A Master's or PhD in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, as well as experience with large-scale data processing and machine learning frameworks. Familiarity with cloud platforms and data engineering practices would be a plus. You are passionate about advancing AI/ML-powered products and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and collaboration.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive the development and deployment of machine learning-based search and discovery relevance models integrated with Databricks' products and services. You will design and implement automated ML and NLP pipelines for data preprocessing, query understanding, ranking, and retrieval, enabling rapid experimentation and iteration. Collaborating closely with product managers and cross-functional teams, you will help shape the technology-first initiatives that enhance the search and discovery experience for Databricks' customers. You will also contribute to building a robust framework for evaluating search ranking improvements, both offline and online, ensuring that the search product evolves to meet user needs effectively.
