Who you are
You have 5+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building observability solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of large-scale systems. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to develop robust applications that can handle vast amounts of data and logs. You are familiar with cloud technologies, especially AWS, and understand how to leverage them to create scalable solutions. Your experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes enables you to deploy applications efficiently in cloud environments. You have a strong grasp of monitoring tools and frameworks, particularly Elasticsearch, which you use to analyze and visualize system performance metrics. You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working in cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Desirable
Experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture is a plus, as is familiarity with data processing frameworks. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and are eager to learn new technologies that can enhance your skill set. You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and are always looking for ways to improve system observability and reliability.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Observability team at Databricks, you will be responsible for designing and implementing observability solutions that provide critical insights into the health and performance of our data and AI infrastructure. You will work closely with other engineering teams to establish standards for monitoring and logging, ensuring that our systems are resilient and performant. Your role will involve developing tools that help identify and troubleshoot issues in real-time, allowing our customers to maintain high availability and performance of their applications.
