Overview
Databricks is seeking a Lead/Senior Solutions Architect to reshape the future of Retail and CPG industries through data and AI. You'll leverage your expertise to build strategic data solutions and mentor junior architects. This role requires strong experience in data and a passion for the Retail/CPG space.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in data and AI, with experience in the Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sectors — your strategic thinking allows you to bridge the gap between business goals and technical solutions. As a Lead/Senior Solutions Architect, you are not just a technical expert; you are a mentor and a leader who fosters a culture of learning and innovation within your team.
With over 5 years of experience in solutions architecture, you have successfully designed and implemented data strategies for complex, enterprise-scale organizations — your ability to influence and guide teams is complemented by your technical expertise in data engineering and analytics. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and have a knack for building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
You are passionate about the potential of data to transform industries and are eager to help the world's biggest brands turn their data into actionable intelligence — your curiosity drives you to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data and AI. You understand the importance of mentorship and are committed to coaching junior architects, helping them grow in their careers.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with machine learning frameworks — you are open to learning and adapting to new technologies that can enhance your team's capabilities. A background in retail analytics or supply chain optimization would further strengthen your profile.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of data architectures that drive personalized shopping experiences and sustainable supply chains — your strategic influence will shape long-term data strategies for our clients. You will collaborate closely with business leaders to understand their goals and translate them into technical requirements, ensuring that our solutions align with their vision.
You will take an active role in mentoring junior architects, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within your team — your leadership will help cultivate a strong team dynamic that encourages innovation and collaboration. You will also be responsible for presenting solutions to clients, articulating the value of our offerings and how they can leverage data to achieve their business objectives.
As a senior member of the team, you will have the opportunity to define clear career paths for your team members, guiding them in their professional development — you will work closely with the Senior Manager of Field Engineering to ensure that our team is equipped with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in a rapidly evolving industry.
What we offer
At Databricks, we value curiosity over perfection and encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single technical requirement — we believe in your potential and your ability to solve complex problems. You will have access to a flexible work environment, with options for remote work and travel as needed. Our commitment to your growth is reflected in our defined career paths, allowing you to choose your trajectory in technical specialization, industry thought leadership, strategic customer vision, or people management.
Join us in reshaping the future of retail and CPG industries through data and AI — your contributions will have a direct impact on how our clients leverage data to drive their businesses forward. We offer competitive compensation and a supportive culture that values diversity and inclusion.
