Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in building scalable systems that support AI and machine learning workloads. Your expertise includes designing and implementing APIs that facilitate high-throughput data processing and model serving. You are proficient in Python and have a solid understanding of cloud computing principles, enabling you to work effectively in distributed environments.

You possess strong problem-solving skills and are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product management and infrastructure. Your experience with machine learning frameworks and deployment strategies allows you to contribute to the architectural direction of the Model Serving platform. You are passionate about operational excellence and have a keen eye for ensuring system reliability and performance.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement core systems and APIs that power Databricks Model Serving, ensuring scalability and reliability. You will partner with product and engineering leadership to define the technical roadmap and long-term architecture for serving workloads. Your responsibilities will include driving architectural decisions and collaborating closely with platform, product, infrastructure, and research teams to deliver a world-class serving platform. You will also be involved in monitoring system performance and optimizing for low-latency inference across CPU and GPU workloads.
