Overview
Datadog is seeking an Engineering Manager I for their Cyber Threat Intelligence team to lead efforts in tracking threat actors and improving security posture. This role requires collaboration with various teams and a focus on threat research.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in cybersecurity and experience leading teams focused on threat intelligence. You understand the importance of staying ahead of threat actors and their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Your leadership style fosters collaboration and creativity, ensuring that your team can effectively contribute to Datadog's security initiatives. You are comfortable working in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office collaboration with remote work flexibility.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to partner effectively with various teams, including Detection Engineering, Threat Hunting, and Incident Response. You are passionate about mentoring and developing your team members, helping them grow in their roles while achieving the team's objectives. You are also adept at managing multiple priorities and can navigate complex security challenges with ease.
Desirable
Experience in publishing threat research or speaking at conferences would be a plus. Familiarity with security products and the ability to translate technical concepts into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders is highly valued.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Cyber Threat Intelligence team, you will lead a group of security researchers responsible for developing and executing the cyber threat intelligence roadmap. This includes threat hunting, tracking malware, and identifying vulnerabilities that could impact Datadog and its customers. You will work closely with other teams to ensure that intelligence requirements are met and that your team's findings are integrated into Datadog's security products.
You will be responsible for setting the vision and direction for your team, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to succeed. This includes conducting regular one-on-one meetings to provide feedback and guidance, as well as facilitating team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and challenges. You will also play a key role in hiring and onboarding new team members, helping to build a diverse and inclusive team culture.
In addition to managing your team, you will collaborate with other departments to inform security decisions and improve Datadog's overall security posture. You will be expected to stay current with industry trends and emerging threats, ensuring that your team is equipped to handle the evolving landscape of cybersecurity.
