Who you are
You are a former software developer or SRE with strong technical judgment and experience building or maintaining production systems. With 2-5 years of experience managing a small team, you excel at coaching performance and guiding career journeys. You have a deep understanding of modern software development practices and are passionate about sharing your expertise with the community.
What you'll do
As an Engineering Manager I on the Advocacy team, you will lead a team of Developer Advocates, guiding their work priorities and fostering a positive, high-performance culture. You will contribute to defining the teamβs OKRs and strategy, ensuring your team consistently ships high-quality output. You will also remove technical and procedural roadblocks to help your team do their best work. Balancing management with hands-on delivery, you will contribute high-quality technical content to support the team and represent Datadog. Collaboration is key, as you will work across various internal teams, including Product, Engineering, and Marketing, to support Advocacy initiatives and prioritize requests.
