Who you are
You have 5–8+ years of experience in Product Management, particularly focusing on infrastructure, observability, telemetry, or developer platforms. Your strong technical background allows you to understand complex systems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are passionate about open standards and their role in enhancing observability at scale, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you can engage with customers and communities.
You possess a deep understanding of telemetry data and its significance in modern software applications. Your experience includes defining product visions and roadmaps that align with customer needs and market trends. You are skilled in establishing success metrics and using data to drive product decisions, ensuring that the solutions you deliver meet high standards of performance and reliability.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own the product vision and roadmap for OpenTelemetry Collectors at Datadog. You will define the enterprise-grade experience for deploying, configuring, and scaling OTel Collectors, ensuring that customers can leverage telemetry data effectively. Partnering with customers, you will gather insights into their telemetry collection requirements and translate these into actionable product features.
Collaboration is key in this position; you will work closely with engineering teams to build performant, reliable, and secure telemetry collectors. Additionally, you will engage with the OpenTelemetry community, representing Datadog and contributing to the evolution of open standards in observability. You will establish, track, and report success metrics for the product and its associated capabilities, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with customer expectations.
