DAZN is hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join their global Network Support team. You'll provide 2nd/3rd line support for network incidents and lead the implementation of new services. This role requires expertise in network management and security.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong background in managing large-scale networks and providing technical support. Your expertise includes Local Area Networks (LANs), Wide Area Networks (WANs), and network security appliances. You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities, especially during live sports events.
You possess strong problem-solving skills and can troubleshoot complex network issues efficiently. Your experience with load balancers and network monitoring tools allows you to maintain high service availability. You are also familiar with documentation practices, ensuring that all network changes are well-documented and communicated to the team.
What you'll do
As a Senior Network Engineer at DAZN, you will support the global Network Operations Centre, providing 2nd and 3rd line support for network-related incidents and service requests. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of service availability within our global network, ensuring that all network components function optimally.
You will lead the implementation of new services within the global network, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure exceptional design and build documentation. Your role will involve monitoring network performance, identifying potential issues, and resolving them promptly to minimize downtime.
You will also participate in the on-call rota, handling technical escalations from our 24/7 NOC. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as you may need to work nights, weekends, and public holidays to support our live sports schedule. Your contributions will directly impact the user experience for millions of concurrent viewers across multiple platforms.
