You have a strong background in software architecture and development, with experience in building and maintaining complex systems. You are passionate about delivering high-quality video experiences and have a keen interest in the streaming or OTT industry, although prior experience in this field is not a prerequisite. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy mentoring and supporting your peers to help them grow.
You possess excellent problem-solving skills and are comfortable working with data to inform your decisions. You understand the importance of agile delivery practices and are committed to continuously evolving processes to improve team performance. Your ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams ensures that you can navigate complex technical discussions with ease.
What you'll do
As an Associate Software Architect at DAZN, you will take on a technical leadership role within the Player Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to innovate and develop custom-built video players for various devices, ensuring a smooth playback experience for all customers. You will work closely with a team of engineers to design and implement solutions that meet playback KPIs and enhance user experience.
You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers, providing guidance and support as they tackle challenging problems. Your role will involve collaborating with product managers and other stakeholders to prioritize development efforts based on data-driven insights. You will help shape the technical direction of the team and contribute to the overall success of DAZN's video playback initiatives.
