You have a strong background in mentoring engineers and up-and-coming leaders, helping them grow in their careers. You are comfortable working with both local and remote teams, adapting your management style to fit the needs of your team members. You are familiar with tools like DataDog, Snowflake, and Looker, and you understand how to leverage data to drive team performance and project success.

Desirable

Experience in a fast-paced environment where you have contributed to product strategy and set project goals. You have a track record of enabling teams to hit targets for group-level goals and metrics. You are willing to contribute to code reviews and write code when necessary, demonstrating your technical expertise alongside your managerial responsibilities.

What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Deliveroo, you will lead one or more teams of Backend, iOS, Android, and/or Web Engineers. You will be responsible for guiding the technical strategy of your team and ensuring that they meet their project goals. You will contribute to product strategy and help set project goals, while also supporting and mentoring your team members. You will play a key role in building dashboards using tools like DataDog, Snowflake, and Looker, enabling your team to track their performance and make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across product, design, and operations to ensure alignment and collaboration on projects. Your leadership will be instrumental in improving and implementing processes and values that scale as the company grows.
