Who you are
You have extensive experience in managing high-impact engineering teams, with a strong technical background that allows you to review complex system designs and ensure operational excellence. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, enabling your team to deliver high-quality outcomes consistently.
You possess deep knowledge of network security patterns, including WAFs, rate limiting, and DDoS mitigation, which are crucial for maintaining the integrity of production-grade infrastructure. Your experience with traffic management and content delivery networks equips you to make informed decisions that enhance system performance and reliability.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Edge team, you will own and evolve the companyβs Edge posture, focusing on critical areas such as CDNs, proxies, and load-balancing. You will partner closely with SRE and Security teams to define safe change protocols for high-blast-radius systems, ensuring that all changes are executed smoothly and securely.
You will set priorities for your team, breaking down complex projects into manageable deliverables while ensuring timely and high-quality delivery. Collaborating with Staff+ Engineers, you will shape the technical direction of the team, influencing architecture and design decisions that align with the company's strategic goals.
In this role, you will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning. You will conduct regular one-on-ones to support their professional growth and ensure that they have the resources they need to succeed.
