Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on building and optimizing data infrastructure. You are skilled in designing enterprise-scale data pipelines and have a deep understanding of data architecture principles. Your expertise in cloud platforms, particularly AWS, allows you to implement robust solutions that support machine learning initiatives and business insights.

You are proficient in Python and SQL, enabling you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively. Your experience with tools like Airflow and Kafka equips you to manage complex data workflows and ensure data reliability. You understand the importance of monitoring and alerting systems, and you have implemented these in previous roles to maintain high availability of data services.

You possess strong leadership skills, providing technical guidance to cross-functional teams and conducting architecture reviews. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders ensures that data strategies align with business goals. You are passionate about driving best practices in DataOps, security, and governance across the organization.

Desirable

Experience with Elasticsearch and BigQuery is a plus, as is familiarity with Docker for containerization. You may also have experience in cost analysis initiatives, identifying optimization opportunities to enhance performance while reducing infrastructure spend.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and implement enterprise-scale data infrastructure strategies that support Doctolib's data-driven transformation. You will conduct thorough impact and cost analysis for major technical decisions, ensuring that architectural standards are established and followed across the organization. Your work will involve building and optimizing complex, multi-region data pipelines that handle petabyte-scale datasets, ensuring 99.9% reliability.

You will lead cost analysis initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimization across the data stack and implementing solutions that enhance performance and reliability. Your technical guidance will be invaluable to data engineers and cross-functional teams, as you conduct architecture reviews and drive the adoption of best practices in DataOps, security, and governance.
