You are a motivated individual eager to dive into the world of data engineering, particularly in the realms of data quality and observability. You have a foundational understanding of data pipelines and are keen to learn about the tools and frameworks that ensure data integrity and performance. Your curiosity drives you to explore new technologies and methodologies in the data space.
You are comfortable working with various data tools and have a basic understanding of how to implement monitoring solutions. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of defining KPIs that can help in assessing the quality of data. Your ability to communicate effectively will help you collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
What you'll do
In this internship, you will be involved in the design and implementation of data quality frameworks. You will work on defining applicable KPIs for data pipelines, ensuring that the data meets the required standards for accuracy and completeness. You will also benchmark various tools such as dbt tests, Great Expectations, and Datadog to find the best solutions for our needs.
You will assist in integrating these tools with existing monitoring systems to create a comprehensive observability framework. Your contributions will include creating dashboards that synthesize data quality metrics, completeness rates, error tracking, and latency monitoring. This role will provide you with hands-on experience in data engineering and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects that enhance the accessibility of legal information.
