Overview
Skello is hiring a Senior Data Engineer to implement technical solutions for data utilization across the company. You'll work with Python, Docker, and Airflow, focusing on data analysis and reporting. This role requires experience in data engineering and cloud platforms.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, where you've designed and implemented data solutions that drive business insights and reporting. Your expertise in Python allows you to build robust data pipelines, and you are comfortable working with various data sources to ensure data quality and accessibility.
You are familiar with cloud platforms, particularly GCP, and have experience deploying applications using Docker. Your knowledge of orchestration tools like Airflow enables you to manage complex workflows efficiently. Additionally, experience with dbt is a plus, as it helps you transform and model data effectively.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and deliver actionable insights. Your strong analytical skills allow you to interpret data trends and provide recommendations that support strategic decision-making.
You are proactive in identifying opportunities for process improvements and are always looking for ways to optimize data workflows. Your ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders makes you an effective bridge between data teams and business units.
Desirable
Experience with data visualization tools is a plus, as it enhances your ability to present data findings clearly. Familiarity with BI tools can further support your role in delivering insights to various departments.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that meet the analytical needs of Skello. You will work on building and maintaining data pipelines that ensure data is collected, processed, and made available for analysis. Collaborating with the data team, you will help define data architecture and ensure best practices are followed in data management.
You will also engage with stakeholders across the organization to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will involve optimizing existing data workflows and implementing new processes that enhance data accessibility and usability.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster their growth. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's technical capabilities.
