You have 5+ years of experience in engineering management, leading teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. You are skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Data Science, to create seamless user experiences. You have a strong technical foundation, particularly in Java and JavaScript, and are comfortable guiding your team through complex technical challenges. You are passionate about mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Desirable
Experience in search technologies or building search-driven products is a plus. Familiarity with mobile and web platforms will help you lead your team effectively in delivering end-to-end search experiences. You are also open to exploring new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the team's output and efficiency.
What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Search Experience team, you will lead a group of talented full stack engineers in developing the systems that power the search functionality on DoorDash. You will own the backend systems and APIs that support search across mobile and web platforms, ensuring they are reliable and performant. Your role will involve defining the vision and roadmap for search experiences, working closely with Product and Design to translate user needs into actionable plans. You will drive product velocity while maintaining high standards for user experience and system reliability. You will also engage in regular 1:1s with your team members to support their professional development and performance management.
