What you'll do
As the Engineering Manager for the Search Quality & Ranking team, you will lead a group of engineers dedicated to enhancing the search experience for Notion's users. You will oversee the development of search ranking algorithms and query understanding, ensuring that the search capabilities are robust and efficient. Your role will involve guiding experimentation efforts to continuously improve search quality at scale, particularly as Notion expands its user base to larger enterprises.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align search functionalities with overall product goals. Your responsibilities will include mentoring team members, conducting performance reviews, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability within the team. You will also be involved in strategic planning, helping to define the vision for search at Notion and ensuring that the team has the resources and support needed to succeed.
