Who you are
You have a B.S., M.S., or PhD in a relevant field and at least 2 years of industry experience. You understand cross-browser compatibility, progressive enhancement, and graceful degradation, ensuring that your applications perform well across different environments. You are skilled in responsive design, website performance, and accessibility, making sure that all users have a great experience regardless of their device. You have experience architecting large-scale frontend applications, demonstrating your ability to handle complex projects. Your mastery of the foundations of the web includes vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3, allowing you to create robust and efficient applications. You possess a deep understanding of REST principles and have experience integrating APIs into your projects.
What you'll do
As a Frontend Engineer at DoorDash, you will become a product owner for one of our client-facing applications, taking responsibility for its development and success. You will write robust, highly tested, and well-crafted code that you can be proud of, ensuring that your contributions are of the highest quality. You will collaborate with both technical and business teams to build features that enhance the delivery experience for our users. Your role will involve designing and building beautiful, intuitive user interfaces for our web applications, focusing on creating the best possible customer experience. You will work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office time with remote work, and report to an Engineering Manager. You will also engage in problem-solving at the intersection of product and infrastructure, addressing key business challenges with elegant technical solutions.
