Who you are
You have a strong background in sales and business development, ideally with experience in emerging markets or local economies. You thrive in a field sales environment and are energized by the prospect of building new markets from the ground up. Your ability to develop meaningful partnerships with small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) is key to your success. You are comfortable with extensive travel and can manage a high-velocity, in-person sales cycle effectively. You possess excellent communication skills and can work cross-functionally with various teams to achieve growth objectives.
Desirable
Experience in the food delivery or logistics industry is a plus, as is familiarity with local market dynamics. A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets will set you apart. You are adaptable and can navigate the challenges of building relationships in underdeveloped markets. A passion for supporting local economies and helping businesses grow through innovative solutions is essential.
What you'll do
As a Growth Merchant Lead, you will be responsible for expanding DoorDash's presence in the Florida Panhandle by establishing new partnerships with local restaurants and retailers. You will spend the majority of your time traveling within the region, meeting with potential partners, and promoting the benefits of joining the DoorDash platform. Your role will involve conducting market research to identify high-opportunity areas and developing strategies to engage with local merchants effectively. You will own the sales cycle from initial outreach to closing deals, ensuring that new partners are onboarded smoothly and supported throughout the process.
You will collaborate closely with the Regional Sales Manager and other teams to align on growth strategies and share insights from the field. Your contributions will directly impact DoorDash's ability to penetrate emerging markets and drive revenue growth. You will also be expected to provide feedback on market trends and customer needs to help shape DoorDash's offerings in these regions.
