What you'll do

As a Principal Engineer at Dropbox, you will own company-critical, loosely defined technical problems with multi-year impact. You will define the long-term technical direction for customer-facing experiences used by millions, identifying where AI can significantly enhance customer value. Your role will involve translating evolving business contexts and industry advances into durable, multi-area strategies and roadmaps that shape how Dropbox builds, scales, and innovates.

You will lead the responsible introduction and adoption of AI across product capabilities and engineering workflows. Your influence will be crucial in setting foundational architecture and driving execution standards. You will work closely with senior technical and product leaders to ensure alignment across boundaries, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

In this role, you will also contribute directly to critical design, prototyping, and code reviews, ensuring that the engineering practices at Dropbox are of the highest standard.
