Overview

Dropbox is hiring a Staff Product Manager focused on Sharing and Virality to lead the strategy and execution for critical user journeys. You'll work on simplifying sharing flows and measuring effectiveness through metrics and experimentation. This role requires experience in product management and collaboration across teams.

Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with a focus on user engagement and growth strategies. You understand the importance of sharing and virality in product design and have a track record of leading initiatives that enhance user experiences. Your analytical mindset allows you to measure the effectiveness of product features through rigorous metrics and experimentation, ensuring that decisions are data-driven. You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with engineering, design, and marketing teams to deliver impactful product experiences. You are comfortable navigating complex product landscapes and can simplify intricate processes to create intuitive user journeys. You have experience in trust and safety or permissions-heavy domains, which informs your approach to access management and user control.

Desirable

Experience designing and optimizing virality loops or network effects in large-scale products is a plus. A background in leading long-running, multi-quarter initiatives with significant cross-team dependencies will set you apart. You are passionate about creating products that users understand, trust, and love, and you are eager to influence Dropbox's growth and retention through innovative sharing solutions.

What you'll do

In this role, you will define and evangelize the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Dropbox’s sharing and virality experiences across web, mobile, and desktop platforms. You will own the end-to-end sharing experience, which includes sharing UX, access management, and receiver experiences, spanning both frontend and backend systems. Your responsibilities will involve simplifying complex sharing flows and striking the right balance between intuitive default experiences and advanced capabilities. You will plan and forecast multi-quarter initiatives, ensuring alignment with company goals and user needs. Measuring the effectiveness of sharing and virality through rigorous metrics and experimentation will be a key part of your role, allowing you to iterate and improve the product continuously. You will drive cross-functional execution across multiple teams, evaluating product and business tradeoffs to deliver meaningful customer and company value. Your work will directly influence how millions of users collaborate and share content every week, making a significant impact on Dropbox’s growth, retention, and revenue.

What we offer

At Dropbox, you will have substantial senior leadership exposure and significant ownership and autonomy over a high-visibility product area. You will be part of a team that values innovation and collaboration, working on deeply complex problems at scale. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we believe diverse teams build better products. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of sharing at Dropbox, delivering experiences that resonate with users and drive engagement. Competitive compensation packages are available, reflecting the importance of this role in our organization.
