Job Description
Who you are
You are a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a strong foundation in engineering principles and a deep capability in automation. You have a passion for quality in distributed, cloud-based systems and are adept at designing test strategies that ensure reliability and security. Your experience includes working closely with developers to enhance product quality and performance.
You possess proficiency with tools like Git, Jira, and XRay, which you use to manage and track testing processes effectively. Your analytical and debugging skills are top-notch, allowing you to identify issues swiftly and propose effective solutions. You have a solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes, which are essential for managing containerized applications in cloud environments.
Your background includes experience with NoSQL systems such as MongoDB and Cassandra, which you have utilized to test workloads effectively. You are familiar with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including basic resource setup, debugging, and monitoring using tools like Cloudwatch. Your educational qualifications include a B.Tech, B.E, M.E., or M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
Desirable
While not mandatory, understanding of additional tools and technologies related to cloud security and data protection would be beneficial. Experience in testing complex systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving are highly valued in this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies that align with Druva's mission to provide robust data security solutions. You will work closely with the Cloud Platform Team to develop features that cater to both customer-facing needs and internal stakeholders. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in evolving Druva's architecture as the company scales further.
You will improve existing automation frameworks, ensuring they are efficient and effective in testing the reliability of complex systems. Collaborating with developers, you will ensure that quality is built into the product from the ground up, addressing potential issues before they reach production.
Your role will also involve mentoring junior team members, sharing your expertise in automation and testing best practices. You will participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to enhance the overall quality of the codebase. Additionally, you will engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and cloud security.
