Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in data engineering, where you've built and maintained scalable data pipelines that support business intelligence and analytics. Your expertise in SQL and Python allows you to manipulate and analyze large datasets effectively, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. You are familiar with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and have experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark and orchestration tools such as Airflow. You enjoy solving complex data problems and translating business needs into technical solutions that drive value.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Business Systems, and Analytics. Your strong communication skills enable you to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring everyone is aligned on data initiatives. You are detail-oriented and take pride in delivering high-quality data solutions that empower decision-making across the organization.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Engineer at Emburse, you will own key components of our enterprise data platform, focusing on building trusted and scalable data pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that our data is accurate, complete, and ready for decision-making. This involves collaborating with various teams to understand their data needs and translating those into reliable data solutions. You will also work on usage metering, billing, revenue recognition, and executive reporting, ensuring that our data infrastructure supports these critical business functions.
You will take a hands-on approach to connect complex systems and solve ambiguous data challenges. Your role will require you to design and implement data models that facilitate efficient data retrieval and analysis. You will also be involved in monitoring data quality and performance, making necessary adjustments to optimize our data workflows. As the Greater Boston-area office is established, you will transition to a hybrid work model, allowing you to collaborate in person with your team while also enjoying the flexibility of remote work.
What we offer
At Emburse, we are committed to fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, including flexible work arrangements that support work-life balance. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to a mission-driven company that is transforming financial operations through AI-powered solutions. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team.
