Who you are
You have a strong background in software engineering with a focus on testing and quality assurance — your experience includes designing and implementing automated testing strategies that validate data pipelines and analytical models. You are proficient in SQL and have a solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes, which allows you to ensure that data is accurate and timely for business use.
You possess excellent collaboration skills and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams, including Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Scientists — your ability to communicate effectively ensures that everyone is aligned on project goals and timelines. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for improving the quality and reliability of data products.
What you'll do
In this role, you will contribute to the development and quality assurance of Emburse's data platform and analytics products — you will design automated testing frameworks that validate the integrity of data pipelines and ensure that analytical models meet business requirements. You will collaborate with Data Engineers to implement testing strategies that cover ETL/ELT processes, ensuring that data is processed accurately and efficiently.
You will also work with Analytics Engineers to validate metrics and data services, ensuring that they are well-documented and fit for business use — your role will involve creating comprehensive test plans and executing them to identify any issues before deployment. Additionally, you will participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase.
