What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Emplifi, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining the Ratings & Reviews product within the Social Commerce group. Your primary focus will be on developing web services using Java, ensuring that they are efficient, scalable, and reliable. You will collaborate closely with product managers and designers to understand user needs and translate them into technical solutions.

You will be responsible for designing and implementing new features that enhance the customer experience — your contributions will directly impact how brands collect and showcase customer feedback. You will also work on optimizing existing services, ensuring they perform well under high load and provide valuable insights into customer sentiment.

In this role, you will participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster a culture of continuous improvement. You will also engage in regular discussions with your team to brainstorm new ideas and approaches to enhance the product.

Your work will involve integrating the Ratings & Reviews platform with various channels, including email, SMS, and apps — you will ensure that the integration is seamless and provides a consistent experience for users. You will also be involved in troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise in production, ensuring that the services remain reliable and performant.
