Who you are
You have a strong background in project management, particularly in the energy sector, with a focus on compliance and consumer protection. Your experience includes working with regulatory frameworks and ensuring that programs meet legal standards. You are passionate about renewable energy and understand the importance of protecting consumer rights in the transition to solar power.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including government agencies, utility companies, and community organizations. Your ability to analyze complex regulations and translate them into actionable program guidelines is a key strength. You are detail-oriented and have a proven track record of managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all objectives are met on time and within budget.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the Solar Programs team in implementing the Illinois Shines incentive program, which aims to facilitate the adoption of solar energy across the state. You will be responsible for developing and managing program guidelines that protect consumer rights while promoting solar energy adoption. Your daily tasks will include coordinating with various stakeholders to drive customer participation and ensuring compliance with state regulations.
You will also monitor program performance and make recommendations for improvements based on data analysis and stakeholder feedback. Collaborating with the Senior Manager of the Consumer Protection team, you will help shape the strategic direction of the program and advocate for policies that support the growth of renewable energy in Illinois. Your role will be critical in helping the state achieve its goal of 100% renewable energy by 2050.
