Overview

Enviva is hiring a Plant Controller to oversee financial control and reporting for plant operations. You'll be responsible for financial analysis, general ledger accounting, and budget coordination. This position requires strong financial leadership skills.

Who you are

You have a strong background in financial analysis and general ledger accounting, with experience in overseeing financial operations in a manufacturing or production environment. You understand the importance of maintaining and improving profit margins and are skilled in preparing account reconciliations and analyzing P&L fluctuations. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for developing financial and operational measurements that drive performance. Your ability to coordinate annual budget processes and forecast profitability is well-established, and you are comfortable working with corporate finance teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies.

You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to serve as the primary point of contact for all accounting matters related to the plant. You are proactive in monitoring capital projects and inventory cycles, ensuring that all financial commitments are captured timely and accurately. Your analytical mindset enables you to present projections against budgets to senior management effectively.

What you'll do

As the Plant Controller at Enviva, you will lead the financial control and reporting for all plant operations. Your responsibilities will include managing the month-end close process, preparing financial statements, and conducting thorough analyses of financial performance. You will develop key performance indicators (KPIs) for weekly and monthly operations reporting, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and actionable.

You will oversee the coordination of the plant's annual budget process, working closely with various departments to forecast revenue and profitability accurately. Your role will also involve monitoring capital projects and fixed assets, ensuring that all financial commitments are tracked and reported. You will be responsible for the entire inventory cycle, ensuring that all aspects are accounted for and aligned with financial goals.
