Enviva is hiring an Operations Manager to oversee plant operations and ensure safe, efficient production in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and a focus on operational performance.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record in operations management, ideally within a manufacturing environment, where you've successfully overseen plant operations and ensured compliance with safety regulations. Your leadership style fosters a positive workplace culture, motivating both supervisory staff and hourly employees to achieve high performance.
You understand the importance of communication in a manufacturing setting — you ensure that information flows freely between production staff and management, which is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency. Your experience includes recruiting and training new hires, ensuring they are well-prepared to contribute to the team.
What you'll do
As the Operations Manager at Enviva, you will be responsible for directing and supervising all aspects of plant operations. Your primary goal will be to ensure that production is safe, efficient, and of high quality. You will work closely with plant leadership to establish and execute strategies that meet production, quality, service, and cost objectives.
You will lead a team of supervisors, providing them with the necessary support and guidance to maintain high morale and productivity. Your role will involve regular communication with various members of plant management to ensure that corporate and local policies are enforced effectively.
In addition to overseeing daily operations, you will also be responsible for driving operational performance and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
