Job Description
Who you are
You have at least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of operational processes and safety standards. Your leadership experience, ideally 2 years, has equipped you with the skills to train and develop team members effectively. You possess a degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience, which has provided you with a solid foundation in technical concepts. Your working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical motors, pumps, fans, blowers, and conveyors allows you to troubleshoot and maintain equipment efficiently. You are adept at performing root cause analysis (RCA) to identify and resolve issues that may arise in production.
What you'll do
As the Area Manager, you will oversee the operations of the Pellet Mill, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees. You will be responsible for maintaining process and product quality metrics, meeting volume targets, and developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary. Your role will involve providing training and development to team members, ensuring they are equipped to perform their tasks effectively. You will also manage the maintenance program for all tooling and oversee the associated costs. Driving continuous improvement efforts will be a key focus, as you work to enhance production efficiency and reduce costs. Additionally, you will be responsible for staffing your area and maintaining the set budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively to meet operational goals.
