Who you are

As a Pellet Mill Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining several pellet mills, ensuring optimal feed rates and monitoring pellet quality to meet company standards. You have a keen eye for detail and are committed to maintaining a clean and safe work environment. You understand the importance of quality control and are willing to assist in conducting QC testing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions. Your ability to analyze equipment performance and make necessary adjustments will be crucial in producing high-quality pellets.

You are familiar with the processes involved in extracting, forming, pressing, and compacting materials to produce pellets. You can adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressure, and temperatures, ensuring that production meets the required standards. You are proactive in performing inspections and maintaining equipment in good condition, which is essential for consistent production quality.

What you'll do

In this role, you will operate and maintain pellet mills, adjusting rolls and dies as necessary to optimize production. You will monitor machine operations and observe indicator lights and gauges to detect malfunctions, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly. You will perform and document required inspections of equipment, maintaining a detailed record of your findings. Your responsibilities will also include coordinating maintenance on equipment and performing housekeeping to required standards.

You will work closely with your team to ensure that all workplace and job safety procedures are followed. Your role will involve analyzing equipment performance and making necessary tooling and equipment changes to produce desired throughput and quality results. You will be expected to maintain consistent production quality and adhere to all company standards. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the overall success of the team.
