You have a strong background in data science with a focus on traffic simulation and street optimization — your expertise in Deep Learning allows you to push the boundaries of AI in urban planning. You possess a deep understanding of MLOps and cloud technologies — you have successfully implemented CI/CD pipelines and are familiar with the requirements for training and inference datasets. Your experience in working with public-facing, secured, and scalable cloud offerings makes you an ideal candidate for this role. You are also comfortable navigating legal considerations regarding data usage and licensing, ensuring compliance in all your projects.

What you'll do

In this role, you will drive the design, implementation, and deployment of traffic simulation and street optimization products — your leadership will guide a focused group of software development and product engineers. You will design efficient architectures that build on existing traffic simulation solutions, working across macro, meso, and micro scales. Your responsibilities will include defining the product lifecycle, ensuring synchronization of release cycles with partner teams, and maintaining backward compatibility.

You will represent Esri at various scientific and industry events, showcasing the innovative work your team is doing in AI-assisted urban planning. Your role will also involve collaborating closely with product management to define the strategy for product offerings, ensuring that the solutions developed meet the needs of hundreds of thousands of users. You will be at the forefront of research-oriented projects, contributing to the development of next-gen Esri software and publishing your findings to the broader community.
