What you'll do

As an Engineering Manager at Exa, you will lead a talented team in building a search engine from scratch to serve every AI application — your role will involve planning quarterly goals and holding your team accountable for accomplishing them. You will architect solutions to recreate Google-level search capabilities over 10 billion pages in just one month — this requires a deep understanding of large-scale infrastructure and the ability to manage complex projects. You will also oversee the development of high-performance vector databases and ensure that the team is equipped with the resources and support needed to succeed.
