You have experience designing and shipping parsers that improve retrieval performance, and you are skilled at optimizing the throughput and latency of machine learning models. You have a track record of making web crawlers significantly faster and more efficient. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to contribute to a team focused on enhancing the quality of search endpoints for customers.
What you'll do
As an R&D Product Engineer at Exa, you will be at the forefront of building a search engine from scratch. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing new parsers that dramatically enhance retrieval performance. You will work on improving the throughput and latency of machine learning models, ensuring they meet the demands of a high-performance search engine. Additionally, you will focus on optimizing the web crawler to achieve significant speed improvements.
You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions. Your role will involve experimenting with various algorithms and techniques to enhance the search and retrieval stack. You will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the existing infrastructure, ensuring it scales effectively as the system grows.
