Overview
Fizz is seeking a Technical Product Manager to develop and execute the product roadmap for their college social app. You'll focus on growth, community management, and monetization strategies. This role requires a strong understanding of Gen Z needs and product management experience.

Who you are
You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in social media or community-driven platforms. You understand the unique needs of Gen Z and can empathize with their experiences, ensuring that the product resonates with this demographic. Your analytical skills allow you to make data-driven decisions, and you are comfortable collaborating with engineering and operations teams to identify and solve recurring issues. You are passionate about creating engaging user experiences and have a track record of successfully managing product lifecycles from conception to launch.
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Your communication skills enable you to articulate product vision and strategy to various stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams. You are proactive in seeking feedback and iterating on product features to enhance user satisfaction. You are also familiar with monetization strategies and can contribute to revenue growth initiatives.
Desirable
Experience in the college social app space or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with community management tools and trust & safety protocols will help you excel in this role. A background in data analytics or user research will further enhance your ability to drive product decisions.
What you'll do
As the Technical Product Manager at Fizz, you will develop and execute the product roadmap, focusing on growth, community management, content management, trust & safety, and monetization. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of internal tools, working closely with operations teams to identify recurring issues and prioritize fixes. Collaborating with engineering, you will ensure that product features are implemented effectively and meet user needs.
You will conduct user research to gather insights and feedback, using this information to inform product decisions and enhancements. Your role will involve defining success metrics and tracking performance to ensure that the product meets its goals. You will also be responsible for coordinating with marketing to align product launches with promotional efforts, maximizing user engagement and adoption.
In addition, you will participate in cross-functional meetings to share updates and gather input from various teams, fostering a collaborative environment. You will stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings, using this knowledge to inform product strategy and positioning. Your ability to empathize with users will guide your decision-making process, ensuring that Fizz remains a relevant and engaging platform for Gen Z.
What we offer
Fizz offers a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on your skills and experience. You will have access to company-sponsored benefits and equity, contributing to your overall compensation package. The role is based in our New York, NY (Soho) office, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
