Who you are

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable production systems. You’ve successfully owned services from design through deployment and have a knack for debugging complex distributed systems issues. Your expertise in Golang is complemented by a strong understanding of database technologies, particularly PostgreSQL, Redis, and BigQuery. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. You are comfortable integrating legacy services into new architectures and can think critically about product frameworks and APIs. You are passionate about fostering an intellectually stimulating work environment that promotes career growth and development.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and modern retailing capabilities in the travel industry would be a plus. Familiarity with agile methodologies and a proactive approach to problem-solving will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Flyr, you will be instrumental in building out new product capabilities for our Commerce Engine and Offer product. You will utilize Golang and other technologies to create personalized offers for travelers, integrating existing legacy services into our new architecture. You will evaluate and make decisions regarding products, frameworks, platforms, APIs, and other technologies quickly and effectively. Your role will involve collaborating with full-stack engineers to ensure seamless integration and functionality of our services. You will also be responsible for maintaining high standards of code quality and performance, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
