Who you are
5+ years of backend engineering experience building scalable systems — you've taken projects from inception to production and understand the intricacies of performance and reliability in backend services. You have a strong sense of ownership and enjoy tackling complex challenges in data security and compliance.
Deep expertise in Golang and Rust — you've built high-performance applications and have a solid grasp of protocol-aware systems. Your experience with various datastores like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud services such as AWS allows you to design efficient data architectures.
You thrive in collaborative environments — working closely with product and design teams to deliver impactful features is something you enjoy. Your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between engineering and other stakeholders.
Desirable
Experience with Temporal, Kafka, Snowflake, and Redshift is a plus — you understand how to leverage these technologies to enhance data processing and analytics capabilities. Familiarity with data masking, filtering, and anonymization policies will help you contribute to our mission of data security.
What you'll do
Join Formal's engineering team to design and develop a high-performance data platform that can handle large volumes of data in real-time. You'll be responsible for building new product features from start to finish, including research, implementation, and maintenance. Your role will involve improving the performance and reliability of both new and existing features, ensuring that our platform meets the highest standards of data security.
