You are a Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in prototyping and designing mechanisms for complex systems. You have experience analyzing and validating electro-mechanical systems, and you are skilled in creating detailed designs using CAD software. Your passion for 3D printing technology drives you to push the boundaries of what is possible in fabrication. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with sourcing and manufacturing teams to bring innovative designs to life.

You have a portfolio that showcases your engineering skills and experience, demonstrating your ability to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs. You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of user experience in product design. Your technical expertise is complemented by your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects move smoothly from concept to production.

What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer at Formlabs, you will prototype new mechanisms and test materials to address 3D printing challenges. You will analyze, test, validate, and iterate on electro-mechanical systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. Your role will involve creating detailed designs in CAD and producing well-specified, accurate drawings that guide the manufacturing process.

You will collaborate with our Global Sourcing and Manufacturing Teams to transition designs from prototype to mass production, ensuring that all aspects of the design are optimized for manufacturability. Your work will directly impact the capabilities of our 3D printers, as you strive to maximize customer value through innovative engineering solutions. What we offer

At Formlabs, we offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $120,000 USD, along with equity in the form of RSUs.
